Puppies are active in the winter. They adapt to the cold weather by having fur and some owners put coats and boots on them. They also typically only stay outdoors for a little bit of time.
Watercolor paints, sequencing the letters in our name. Creating the landscape for the dinosaurs....which will come next. Painting the background, using watercolor paints. Then the children used construction paper to create trees, grass and other details to their background.
We read in a book that some penguins are as tall as a 5 year old. Alina had a great idea, of tracing her body and making it look like a penguin. Then we measured the class to see who was taller than the penguin. Thomas and Ayden said that this measuring activity reminded them of the amusement park, seeing if they were tall enough to go on a ride.
Today, we started talking about penguins. We watched the below short factual video about penguins, as well as read a few books. Tomorrow, we will begin our penguin projects. |
