Thank you to everyone who came to the Art & Literature Faire. The children were very excited to show off their hard work to their families and friends.

Whale Skeleton: The children used precut sperm whale construction paper cutouts and Q-tips to create their skeleton.
Brant Point Lighthouse: The children created their own lighthouse using red and yellow acrylic paint. We used recycle materials for the top (as well as the hole puncher). These lighthouses will have a special effect on the night of the faire!
Traditional Penny Toss: When heading home...legend has it, if you toss a penny into the waters off of Brant Point you will return to Nantucket again as well as have a safe trip home! So toss away! :) **all penny donations will be given to the Laurel School! : ) This week we finished up our boats and wharfs. We added our final touches. We first looked at some real photographs of boats and wharfs/docks on Nantucket. We also talked about what it means when something is "beached".
These artists are using clay and recyclable materials to create their boats. The process: Create, glue and then painting.
