A family, was kind, and donated eggs for our class to decorate. We used a white crayon to make a design on the egg(s). Then we dipped them in the liquid color. The children were excited to see the different colors and designs when finished.

Today, the children in the Pre-K wing, went on a "leprechaun hunt". We followed clues around the classrooms, as we looked for the leprechaun. We really thought we were going to catch him. He was too tricky for us. He did leave us a pot of gold colored chocolates as well as some other tasty treats.
Prekindergarten overheard their "Big" buddies talking about making "leprechaun traps". They, too, wanted to make them. I asked what we should make our traps out of and they decided the blocks.
Ms. Anita's friends and a few of Ms. Lynn's friends also helped. Today, in Science Co-op with Ms. Anita's friends, we worked together to make a cooperation spider web with yarn. We passed the yarn ball back and forth to friends, until we created a "web".
We learned some fun facts about spiders (ie. spiders have 3 pairs of spinnerets that help them create their webs. Not all spiders build webs, they have 8 legs, etc.). We watched a short video of a spider creating a web. Please have your child here on time (a little early would be great.. 8:50 am). We will be spending the morning in Kindergarten with Ms. Tara. We will be doing kindergarten activities from 9 am-11:30 am. We can't wait!
We will meet in our Prekindergarten classroom and then walk over together to start our day. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me. ~Kindergarten here we come (to visit)!~ *Monday, March 26th - Movie Night at Laurel! 5pm-7pm We will be watching "Coco" in the Community Room!
