We made treasure maps to represent the letter X page. The children wrote about what type of treasure they would like to find. Their answers are below.
$1,000 lots of jewels a Batman Lego set tons of Lego sets gold another treasure chest swords a new map Please see Mrs. Mills in the front office if you would like to buy a cape. They come in different sizes and patterns. Each cape, I am told, is reversible. So cool!
Many people vacation on Cape Cod each summer. We drew a picture of our favorite vacation for our V page.
Some of the replies were: *The water park *Going to St. Martins. *Going to Florida. *Going to the beach. *When I went on a cruise. *When I went to Lego Land. *A day just playing with my Dad. *When I went camping in California. *When I went to Turks and Caicos with my family. These friends are so proud of themselves, as they finally have mastered the "track". They have been working on it all week during play time. They figured out a way that the monster trucks could roll down it, without it breaking. They used various buckets and containers to level it so the waffle blocks wouldn't break apart under the weight. They also used smaller waffle blocks to close up holes so that the small trucks wouldn't fall through.
Today, we went on a nature walk with Ms. Anita's class. Ms. Anita has been talking about what hatches from eggs. Pre-K has been talking about nests. We all got to take a sneak peek at the baby birds at the end of our nature walk. We explored in the garden in the front of the school. We found ants, a spider, foot prints of animals near the bird feeder, various flowers, a small puddle of water next to a solar light, different size thorns, a small pine tree, etc.
This year, the children in the Pre-K class made books for the special people in their lives. We called it the G.A.M.E Book (Grandmothers, Aunts, Mom's, etc.). All the children were asked 5 questions. The answers are inside the book.... : )
