Summer is around the corner... The children noticed that the pool is now uncovered. The children are excited to see what the next step is (cleaning, putting the ladders on, etc.)

Today, we took our story time outside, for Mentor Buddies. Ms. Julia read a story about a cow who liked to eat cookies. Then the children explored the space together, playing, making mud, reading, playing hide & go seek, playing with the new musical pots and pans on the fence, etc.
The children created their own flowers. Each flower has roots, a stem, leaves and a flower at the top.
Your child's Cape Cod Treasure Jars are being sent home. The children kept them in the classroom and any fun treasures that they found on walks or outside on the playground, they were allowed to put inside their jar. The only rule was nothing that was alive could go in the jars.
**the jars are glass, so handle with care. It is hard to believe that the last day of school is quickly approaching. We are working on our final class project for the year. We have decided to create a classroom "Imaginary garden" after reading the book. The children created the mural, and now we have started working on the flowers.
The grass-heads that the children created (planted) are ready to go home for either their first haircut or to watch and see how long the grass gets. Some children want to plant them outside at their house, while some want to keep them on their window sills! Your choice! Enjoy! : )
Our Cape Cod Alphabet Books are FINISHED! : ) The children are excited to bring them home and read them to you today. They worked very hard on them throughout the school year. They are excited that they are both the author and illustrator of them.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! The children enjoyed writing their G.A.M.E (Grandmother, aunts, mothers, etc.) to celebrate the special woman in their lives.
Today, in Science Co-Op, some friends wanted to do more planting, while others chose to play with their friends from Ms. Anita's room. We planted "forget me nots".
