We have hung up our countdown calendar until our last day of school. It is hard to believe that in three short weeks, out school year will be ending and summer will be starting. The children have been getting excited (and a little nervous) about kindergarten, as some of them have been going to screenings and orientation tours.
Cape Cod Alphabet Book: We completed the front cover, letters: P (pine tree), Q (Quahogs), Y (yellow sun), Z (zooplankton: krill). We have started the letter R page for Raccoons.
The children have been fascinated with the inch worms that they have been finding outside on the playground. We have started talking about them in Science Co-op in hoping to learn more about them (ie. why are they here, what will they be changing into, etc.).
Reminders:
Monday May 25th we will be closed (Memorial Day)
Thursday June 4th: Art Festival
Tuesday June 9th: Last Day of School
Next week curriculum:
We will be finishing our alphabet book (R, S, T, U, V, W, X pages) and beginning to learn about kindergarten.
