The wreath on the front door of the school is the home to a sparrow family. They have built a nest on the top of the wreath. We have been watching it for the past few weeks. Yesterday, there were 5 eggs (in the morning) and by the end of the day, there were 3 babies. : )
"Today in "Book Buddies" with Ms. Anita's class. We created "Skittle Rainbows". We used water (various temperatures), ice, and Skittles. We also used various plates/bowls. We talked about trial and error and how not all experiments go the way you would like. But, also that sometimes you learn something new or receive a surprise at the end.
The art area was popular today, as the children were reusing materials to create their masterpieces. The block area was another popular place. The children were creating with waffle blocks, Lego's and shapes.
Today, the children paired themselves up, or formed small work groups. They were to create a "structure" together, using Lincoln Logs.
