The children each had a chance to do the science experiment on their own. They stuffed a piece of paper towel in the bottom of a plastic cup. Then they pushed their cup "straight down" into the water and pulled it up in the same fashion. The paper towel did not get wet. But, if air was released from the paper cup (if pushing down side ways) the paper cup then got wet.
Today, in Science Co-op, the children learned about "air". We read a story about air and then we did a science experiment. The children each had a chance to do the science experiment on their own.
