Yesterday, the children noticed that there was a spider under the easel, that we brought in from outside. The children wanted to know if the spider was going to build a spiderweb. We left it overnight. Ms. Lynn noticed it this morning. She was going to remove it. We told her not to hurt it, as our classroom has a "catch and release" policy (with naming rights). We noticed that there are about 20 spider "babies". We have put the "Mumma" spider and her "babies" in this plastic container. We have poked holes in it..and will watch them for today.
