Drama: This week we went and watched the kindergarten perform the Cod Fish Ball and the fifth graders perform, What's The Matter? (a performance about science).
Art & LIterature Faire: This week we started by finishing our village scene. The children finished decorating their houses. We have been painting our back drops for our sky pictures. We have started hanging some of our art work that we have been working hard on.
Art with Ms. Jen: The children made pinch pots today. They also worked on their body tracings.
Science Co-Op: This week we joined with Preschool 3 and made estimates on the Box Tops for Education. We have a new system in the hall. The children can place their box tops in the large container at the entrance to our classroom. We are looking for the children (and families/friends) to make estimates as well. There is a basket of small pieces of paper. Please write down your estimate and put your name on the paper. Then fold the paper and put it in the small jar/container next to the Box Tops. We will be counting the Box Tops each Tuesday. Please keep the Box Tops coming. The children have been continuing to count them and place them in piles of 10. Then we count by 10's to see how many we have. We then separate them into piles of 50 to hand into the office. Keep up the great work! The holidays are coming...it is a great time to ask family and friends to save them as well! Every single one helps the school! Thank you! : )
