Art: Rainbow prints with Mrs. L.
Today the Leprechaun must have snuck into our classroom while the children were at Spanish & Art. When we returned there were shamrocks (with clues on them) hanging around the classroom. The children had to work together to figure out the clues. The children found a picture of the leprechaun and some small presents. But no gold was found!

*We discussed Rockhopper penguins, where they live, what they eat and fun facts about them.
Small Group: We started creating our Rock-hopper penguins.
Friday:
Small Group: We talked about how a scale works. We then weighed ourselves to see if we weigh more or less than a Rock-hopper penguin does.
We finished up our Rock-hopper penguins (paper towel rolls, construction paper, glue, wiggly eyes, scissors, etc.) We also sponged painted the bottom of their habitat.
Kindergarten Co-Op: Today we had indoor recess with them. We used colorful scarves and danced to music. Each child got to show us their own creative move to try with the scarves. Then the kindergarten taught us a new action song.
