It is hard to believe that it is already November!
We have been finishing up talking about pumpkins this week. The children sequenced the life cycle of the pumpkin both on paper and with their body. We also added potting soil to the little pumpkin and put saran wrap around it. It is on the windowsill in hopes that it will sprout over the next few months. The children also illustrated the song, "5 Little Pumpkins".
On Thursday, the children made Happy Birthday cards and pictures for Dr. Jeff. Then they visited him in his office, to give them the cards/pictures.
We have been playing an acorn math game. The children roll the dice, count the dots and then put that many acorns on their squirrel grid board.
Art & Literature Faire: We are continuing to talk about the Art & Literature Faire. We have chosen the book that we are going to discuss. The children have started talking about ideas we should do to help illustrate the story. Please see the tab "Art & Literature Faire" for more details about what we have been doing.
Learn to Play: This week we played on the big playground. Some of us played soccer, while others jumped in piles of leaves and some just sat and talked with their buddies. We also visited our "Buddies" on Friday. We sang songs together, shared a snack and played outside for a little bit.
Reminders:
1. Please remember that we will be closed next Tuesday in observance of Veterans Day.
2. As the seasons change, please remember to change the type of extra clothes your child has in their cubby. (Please change out the shorts and add pants, etc.).
3. If possible, could your child leave in their cubby a reusable cup, for water.
Thank you for all that you do! :)
